Chess Showdown

Attention all chess aficionados. DRMC Math Presents you with the opportunity to demonstrate your extraordinary critical thinking and foresight on a brilliant competition of chess. Keep honing your skills for this challenging competition and put your wits to the test to come out on top by defeating fellow competitors. Best of luck contenders.

The first rounds will be eliminattion rounds until we reach a certain number of players.
The finals will be held among the selected few from the elimination round.

Senior: Class 9 to University

Speed Cubing

Whether you are a novice in speedcubing or a pro, DRMC Math Club invites you to participate in an engaging tournament of speedcubing where you will get the opportunity to demonstrate your fast-solving skills. Be it your lookahead skills, your proficiency with algorithms, or your swift finger tricks , try every method to solve faster than your competitors. Put your speedcubing skills to the test and compete with your peers; speedcubing enthusiasts just like you and shoot your shot at becoming the champion. This competition is not restricted by any age , and anyone of any age or background will be able to participate.
Events

3×3 and Pyraminx

These two events are independent and will be held separately. Someone may choose to participate in either of the two or both.

Rules & Regulations
-No prior registration is required to participate in this event.
– Participants will be required to bring their own cube and be present at the venue of the competition in given time .
– There will be no categories or age barriers
– The number of rounds will depend on the number of contestants
– Basic WCA rules will be followed( 15 seconds inspection, +2 , DNF etc)
– Top 3 contestants in each event will be declared the winners.
– This is a free event.

Crosswords

This event combines the art of words and the logic of numbers, inviting participants to solve a crossword puzzle with a mathematical twist. Introducing our next exciting segment, Sudoku!
Sudoku is a widely loved puzzle that sharpens critical thinking and logical reasoning. This number-placement game requires participants to fill a 9×9 grid with numbers from 1 to 9, ensuring that no number repeats in any row, column, or 3×3 box.
In this segment, participants will showcase their logical reasoning by solving Sudoku puzzles within a strict 30-minute time limit. Solving time will be calculated and the ones to solve the puzzles the fastest wins.

1. The use of calculators or any other electronic devices is strictly prohibited.
2. There will be 3 Sudoku puzzles to solve.
