Rules & Regulations

– Originality: Memes must be original creations. No reposts or stolen content.
– Theme: Memes should relate to mathematics or mathematical concepts.
– Respect: Memes should be respectful and not offensive to any individual or group.
– No explicit language and slang: Memes should be in a language understood by the event organizers and maintaining a rule against the use of slang fosters clear and professional communication.
– Format: Memes can be images, gifs, or videos, but they should be easily shareable and viewable.
– Judging Criteria: Memes will be judged based on creativity, humor, relevance to the theme, and overall impact.

Rules & Regulations

– Originality: All submissions must consist of previously unpublished, original work.
– Relevance: Articles have to touch on important issues, dilemmas, or advancements in mathematics.
– Clarity and Accessibility: Writers should endeavor to make their writing clear and easy to read for a wide range of readers, including mathematicians and non-mathematicians.
– Formatting: Articles must follow the prescribed formatting criteria, which include citation style and word count. In-depth formatting guidelines will be sent out after your proposal is approved.
– Review Procedure: The submitted articles will go through a thorough peer-review procedure.

Project Display

The project display at the 1st DRMC National Math Summit showcased innovative mathematical concepts and applications developed by participants from various educational institutions. Each project emphasized creativity and problem-solving skills, featuring interactive exhibits, posters, and demonstrations.

Submission Date of the Project: 16th October 2024 ( 8AM to 6PM )

The Teams must be present with their respective Project at Dhaka Residential Model College premises on 16 October for registration.
Rules & Regulations
– Team: Each team must consist of 2 to 3 members (Team members must belong to the same Institution)
Setup and Teardown: Projects must be set up during the designated time slots before the event and dismantled only after the event concludes. Adherence to these times is crucial for a smooth operation.
– Technical Needs: Any technical equipment or special setup requirements must be communicated to the event organizers in advance to ensure proper arrangements are made.
– Engagement: Project creators should be present during the event to engage with attendees, answer questions, and provide information about their work.
– Safety and Conduct: All participants and attendees must adhere to safety guidelines. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event.
– Materials and Equipment: Participants are responsible for bringing the materials and equipment needed for their displays.
– Feedback and Evaluation: Constructive feedback from attendees is encouraged. Project creators are expected to handle feedback professionally and use it to enhance their work.
– Compliance: All participants must comply with these rules to ensure the event runs smoothly. Non-compliance may result in exclusion from the showcase and future events.

Wall Magazine

This is a team-based event centered around creating a wall magazine, a publication displayed in community spaces. It allows members to contribute, fostering collaboration and serving as a communication tool and creative showcase.
 
The Teams must be present with their respective Wall Magazine at Dhaka Residential Model College premises on 16 October for registration.
Maximum Size for Wall Magazine: 5 Feet by 5 Feet
Rules & Regulations
– Team Size: 2 to 4 members per team. (Team members must belong to the same institution)
– Respectful Content: All material must be non-discriminatory and respectful. Offensive or inappropriate content will be removed.
– Accuracy: Ensure all information is correct before submission. Errors can only be corrected during the submission window.

Math in Motion

This segment invites you to submit an engaging video on any captivating mathematical topic. Whether it’s the life story of a renowned mathematician, a visual demonstration of a mathematical formula, an innovative idea, or any other math-related themes.
 
‘Math in Motion’ aims to transform the exploration of mathematical concepts and mysteries into an inspiring cinematic experience, bringing the beauty of mathematics to life on screen.
Rules & Regulations

– Maximum video length: *5:00 minutes*.
– Submit your videos in the DRMC Public group [] using the hashtag *#DRMCMathinema24*, and include your name, institution’s name, and class.
– Videos can be humorous but must remain respectful. Offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content will result in disqualification.
– Judging will be done by the quality of content but facebook reactions, comments, and shares of the post will also play a role.
– The video cannot be posted on other platforms until the end of the festival, but you are free to share the original post anywhere.
